A quarter-turn stop is the valve you want behind a toilet or under a sink, because the day you need it you need it to work. There is no multi-turn stem packing to seize or weep after five years sitting open — a 90-degree flip of the oval handle takes it from full flow to hard off.
This is a Utopia lead-free valve with a 1/2" PEX barb inlet and a 3/8" OD compression outlet, with the compression nut and sleeve already fitted. The body is chrome-plated brass cast with "LF" and stamped with the full certification set: NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 for lead content, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for drinking-water contact at Q≤0.5, and the UPC shield for Uniform Plumbing Code listing.
Those markings matter. They are what lets the valve pass inspection on a potable water system, and they are exactly what the unbranded import multi-packs do not carry. If an inspector is going to look at it, buy the one with the stamps.
The barb side crimps with a standard 1/2" copper crimp ring or stainless cinch clamp. The outlet takes any standard 3/8" OD compression supply riser for a faucet or toilet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the PEX side need a crimp ring?
Yes. It is a barb fitting — secure it with a standard 1/2" copper crimp ring or a stainless steel cinch clamp.
Will this work with PEX-A?
It works with PEX-A and PEX-B when you are using crimp rings or cinch clamps. It is not an F1960 cold-expansion fitting, so it will not work with an expansion tool.
Is it safe for drinking water?
Yes. It is lead-free and certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, with UPC listing — the markings are stamped right on the valve.
What supply line does the outlet take?
Any standard 3/8" OD compression riser for a faucet or toilet. The nut and sleeve are already on the valve.
Is this an angle stop or a straight stop?
Angle — the inlet and outlet are 90 degrees apart, which is what you want coming out of a wall.
Are these new?
Yes, new surplus. Unused production stock that may show light cosmetic handling marks from storage.
